Over time your body’s metabolism naturally begins to slow down, about 5 percent for each decade after 40. This means that as you get older you may gain more weight, especially if you continue to eat the same amount of food that you did when you were younger, and don’t do much exercise.

Work with your body’s biological changes and don’t punish your body. Don’t try and fight nature.

As we get older, and our metabolism slows down, it is very important to make sure that our nutritional needs and being met and this can be done through diet.

7. Park the car. It is amazing how dependent we’ve become on vehicles in this society. Whenever we need to get somewhere we hop in the car, regardless of how close that destination might be.
