Kick Fever Fitness – Better Health Habits

Every New Year’s Day is filled with eager resolve to lose weight, eat healthier and get in shape.  But by mid February all the good intent and determination gives way to old habits for another year.

STOP

Here are a few tips to help make your 2013 the healthiest year of your life, no matter your age.

Commit to you workout

Workout do not have to be long, but need to be of sufficient intensity. If it’s a 20 minutes breathe and sweat hard for 20 minutes then cool down.

Don’t waste your workout

Within 10 minutes of finishing, get post-workout fuel.  Carbohydrates, (apple, banana, fruit or veggie juice) and protein (a shake, bar or nuts) You will have more energy, recover faster and lose more body fat.

Find Sustainable Change

Be realistic.  If you are eating only one fruit or vegetable a day, don’t go to five.  Try two, then three .  Added to your daily diet, within a few weeks your new choices will be part of your every day ritual.
