Kick Fever Fitness – How to Lose Fat When You Wake Up

Engaging in sunrise exercise is sometimes the only way to fit in a calorie-burning session, especially if you have an evening filled with social plans or are just too tired after work. Although dragging yourself out of a nice warm bed at 6 a.m. is easier said than done, working out first thing in the morning doesn’t have to be torture.

The night before, lay out all the clothes and gear you’ll need.  Take your dumbbells out of the closet and put them in the living room if you’re working out at home.

If you’re driving to the gym, make sure that your car keys, towel and gym pass are right by the door and ready to go.

Motivate yourself by building a special treat into your workout… but not a morning donut! Record TV shows that you didn’t have time to watch the night before and do biceps curls, squats and lunges while you indulge in your favorite reality series. Or try a fun new workout video that incorporates different dance moves or is shot in an exotic location.

After your workout, reward yourself with a little yoga to help you cool down and prepare your mind for the workday ahead. The more enjoyable your workout, the more likely you’ll find the willpower to kick off your comforter and roll away from your sweetie’s arms. Speaking of which, why not make him or her your exercise buddy?.

And to make sure you don’t run out of steam just as you reach your fat-burning zone, eat something light to give you energy; but don’t eat so much that you get cramps. A little fruit juice, applesauce or oatmeal should be plenty to get you through an hour of moderate cardio. Just make sure you don’t negate your hard work with a huge breakfast post-sweat. Stick with cereal and milk or eggs and toast to refuel.

The last step? Congratulate yourself because morning exercise rocks! Then, don’t forget to enjoy your hard-earned evening off!
